Welcome

“de manera que aquellas cosas que no se pueden decir,

es menester decir siquiera que no se pueden decir”

-Sor Juana

This blogs primarily serves as a space to practice and grow in my writing. It also is an attempt to capture, reflect and explore the multitude of things that fascinate or interest me: international conflict and international relations; social and political current events and issues; with occasional offerings of the stuff of life: books, recipes, dogs, Nature, et al. If what I write resonates with you, great. If I get something wrong, fantastic, tell me what.

About Me

I was lucky enough to grow up in a leafy town about an hour north of Houston, Texas. I now call Edinburgh, Scotland home.

I have a double bachelors degree in International Relations and Spanish language, and a masters in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University. I currently work in public policy with a focus on cancer health data. My German Shepard thinks I work full time for him, though, and from that perspective I am an expert dog walker.

  1. Claire,

Your writing makes me think and love you even more. Wish there were more blog posts! I gained so much wisdom by just reading about your thoughts on migration.

    love you,

    Umme
